Silymarin (Milk Thistle Extract) for Silybum Marianum Oil

Product introduction

Silymarin is a flavonolignan ingredient condensated with the dihydroflavonol and phenylpropanoid derivatives that are extracted from the fruit and seed of silybum marinaum (L) Gaenrt. It is odorless light yellow or ochroid powder or white crystallized powder, with slight bitter taste. It is freely soluble in acetone, alcohol, methyl alcohol and ethyl acetate, and is insoluble in water.

The total flavonolignan content is about 80%. It mainly contains four isomers including silybin, isosilybin, silychristin and silydianin.

Among them, silybin content is the highest, and the hepatic protection activity of silybin is also the highest. Our silymarin series products have reached standard physical properties.

Functions: hepatic protection, blood fat lowering, radiation resistance, anti-tumor, inhibition of lipoxygenase and peroxidase, and clinical use in therapy of hepatotoxicity and hepatic dysfunction.
